Asian Soybean Rust Intensive Training

Training provided on soybean rust disease identification and development, risk to the soybean crop in 2005, disease management strategies, and agronomic considerations.  A considerable amount of time will be devoted to fungicide control decisions and use strategies.  The nuances of making effective fungicide applications to full-canopy soybean will be discussed, as will the advantages and disadvantages of available fungicide classes.  An update on available and pending fungicides will be provided.  A soybean rust identification pocket card will be given to participants.  A meal will be provided by the Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board.  Meetings are scheduled for the following locations:

These soybean rust meetings are free of charge to participants; however, we do ask that you contact your local Extension Office to make meal reservations, to attend, and/or for further information.

These meetings are open to producers, county Extension agents, crop consultants, agricultural dealers and anyone else interested in learning more about soybean rust, its management, and implications to Kentucky and U.S. Agriculture.  Presenting the training will be:
